The United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association (USASA) is a grassroots organization that promotes fair and fun events for snowboarders and skiers while fostering a competitive spirit.
Every year riders compete regionally in:
Rail Jam
Slopestyle
Slalom
Giant Slalom
Boarder/Skier Cross
Halfpipe
Riders accumulate points to qualify for the National Championships held each year in Copper Mountain. There, they will compete against the best boarders and freeskiers in America.
The Southwest Freeride Series (formerly New Mexico Series) was started in 2001. We are one of 32 regional series that make up the USASA. Along with Angel Fire Resort, we were host to the 2004 National Championships with 1118 competitors ranging in age from 6 to 60. We have been gaining momentum ever since. We hope for you to join our series to make it even stronger.
