Every rider practicing or competing in any USASA sanctioned event must attain USASA membership prior to participating. Memberships can be purchased online at www.usasa.org or at an event. Keep in mind that purchasing a membership at the event will slow down the process and potentially cut into your practice time.
There are two types of memberships available:
One Day membership:
This membership allows Rider's to participate in practice and competitions for one (1) day ONLY, NO USASA points will be awarded or transferable at a later date.
This membership is valid for one (1) full membership season at any USASA sanctioned event. Points may be earned toward Regional and National rankings. Full members will receive an official membership packet by mail including a membership card, stickers, and other benefits.
$50/yr for Groms (8-9yr old)
FREE for Ruggies (7 and Under)
In addition to a USASA membership, the cost of the event registration is either:
$25 if pre-registered online
$35 if registered morning of
9 and Unders are FREE
Online registration is available until Thursday at 11:59pm before the event. After such time, the competitor will be required to register on site. On site registration generally begins @ 8:00 am and closes @ 9:30 am on the event day. Competitors are required to purchase a lift ticket or be a pass holder at each mountain he/she will be competing at. Tickets are sold by each resort, not USASA or Southwest Freeride Series.
HELMETS (SNOW SPORTS CERTIFIED ASTM F2040 or CE EN 1077) & USASA Membership are REQUIRED for all events, no exceptions!!!

Mouthguards and body armor are recommended for all competitors. Protect yourself!!
